5 Ways to Beat Stress


1.) Promote spiritual well-being. Meditation and prayer can help you put things in perspective.

2. ) Get a hobby. You don’t have to be the most artistic, have a green thumb, or be the most physically fit. But just by being active, finding something you enjoy, and using that as an escape from life’s daily stressors is a way to reduce nagging stress.

3.) Just say ‘no’. Don’t over commit yourself, at work or socially. Don’t try to avoid hurting feelings by agreeing to stuff that’s eventually going to leave you overwhelmed.

4.) Clean out your closet. Get rid of some stuff: clothes that you no longer fit, older electronic items, things that have been hanging out at your home, that you’re just watching collect dust that you think you will eventually use again.

5.) Power down. Turn off the computer, phone, iPad, and Xbox. Stop checking emails, Facebook, the local news, etc. (not this blog though!) and do one of the 4 activities above!
